e-safety

Today in class we did something different. We were talking about e-safety and the meaning behind it. Later we had to get in groups of twos or threes I went to work with a friend, we planned what we wanted to do first and when we both agreed we went ahead and made the animation. It took us both good 2 hours to complete the animation. 

PowerPoint

So Today I have been told to design and present a PowerPoint in front of the whole class by myself for 10 minutes! I am so scared I really do not want to do this but I have no choice but to. I panic when I am presenting in a group but by myself😣😤 hopefully, it will all go well.

So far on my PowerPoint, I have uploaded a video which my tutor showed me how to. I have also added some animation to make my presentation more fun and exciting. 

Do I pass or do I fail

It has been roughly 4 weeks since I started this module. I have completed 2 tasks already and I have got 4 more including this task which I am about to explain. So, instead of listening to the tutor today in class we instead played a coding game which we had to complete 20 levels for us to pass and receive our certificate. I was looking forward to it... I mean no typing, no looking up information just playing a simple coding game. At first, the game started off easy but then it eventually got hard. 

At one point I had to do level 8 five times😭 which was a headache as I wanted to finish the game off. Felt like throwing the computer away...which I did not. Eventually, in the end, I had completed level 8 and the rest of the levels with a PASS!!!

Today in the lesson I was designing a piece of marketing using a publisher. My tutor had just shown everyone how to use the Snipping tool. I knew if I wanted a higher grade I had to use the Snipping tool technique.

By the end of the lesson, I had completed half of my publisher. I was hoping to get it done by the end of the lesson as I do not have a publisher on my laptop 😔 but I thought I would complete my design for next week on Tuesday. 

Rub and reveal

This time I arrived on time! My tutor had shown us different techniques for us to use for our smart Notebook which features hide and reveal, rub and reveal and infinite cloning. The thought of doing it sounded confusing but after he demonstrated each technique it looked easy to do. The tutor told everyone to create a maximum of 10 pages based on national curriculum subject. I decided to pick maths as I enjoy playing with numbers.

 Time went past and it was time to go home. 

I was eager to start my Notebook so I went on YouTube to get some ideas and there was one particular video that stood out. It was a video which did a tutorial on how to create a game on the Notebook. I had also remembered what my tutor showed me early that day so I used what I had learned and put this into practice. 

My first time

The first lesson of ICT and I arrived late! I came into the classroom holding a chocolatey, delicious cake dying to eat it. When I sat down the tutor was explaining the portfolio as it contained a number of tasks. Our first task was to write up a blog talking about our learning experiences throughout this course. I did not feel confident as I NEVER made a blog before!
